A typical shift

Muster, gear up, take a vehicle out to a sector. Much of the shift is watching, cutting sign on dirt roads to read footprints, checking sensors and camera feeds, and long hours of nothing. Then a group is located and it becomes fast: pursuit on foot in heat, water and medical aid for people in trouble, processing paperwork at the station afterward. Night shifts, holidays and heavy overtime are normal.
