A typical day

You clock in and a work order is already waiting. Verify what the customer actually complained about, pull the fault codes with a scan tool, then think: what could produce this symptom, and how do I test it in the fewest steps. Then the physical work, the road test, and writing it up clearly enough that a service adviser can explain the bill. Between the big jobs, oil changes and brakes keep the hours ticking. Busy shops are loud, cold in winter and very hot in summer.
