A typical day

Six to twelve patients, each booked for 45 minutes to an hour. Intake conversation, tongue and pulse check, then needling and a rest period while the patient lies still. You often treat two or three people at once in different rooms during those rest periods. Between patients: notes, laundry, sterile supplies, phone calls. If you own the practice, add an hour of admin at each end of the day.
