A typical shift

Hospital units run 12-hour shifts, days and nights. Handover, then rounds: checking in with each patient, giving medications, watching for changes in mood or risk. Group sessions, one-on-one talks, family calls. Charting everything. Some days are calm. Some involve a patient in crisis and a team response. Community nurses drive between home visits instead.
