A typical day
You read about companies the fund might buy and rule out most of them. When one looks promising, you build the model, read the data room (the seller's files), and call industry experts. You write the memo for the investment committee. For companies the fund already owns, you track monthly results and help management with budgets. Hours are long but steadier than banking, until a deal goes live.
