A typical day

In a busy retail pharmacy you fill 200 to 400 prescriptions a day. You enter orders, count and label, check what the assistant filled, fix rejected insurance claims, phone a doctor's office about an unclear script, and pack weekly blister packs for a nursing home. In a hospital you fill the ward medication carts, prepare IV (intravenous) bags in a clean room and deliver to the units. Either way you are on your feet most of the day.
