A typical day

Morning: an examination for discovery, where you question the other driver under oath, or defend your client through the same thing. Afternoon: a stack of medical records, a call to an insurance adjuster about a settlement number, a new client intake about a fall in a parking lot. Mediation days run long. Trials are rare and consume everything for weeks.
