A typical day

7am on site. Measure the pipe runs, then cut pre-formed fibreglass or mineral wool sections to fit around pipes, elbows and valves. Fit them, band them, seal the joints, then cover with a vapour barrier or a metal jacket. On a hospital job it is ducts and chilled-water lines on a lift. On a refinery it is hot steam lines in a hard hat and respirator. Every foot you finish saves energy for decades.
