A typical shift

You come in and take a handover of a set of flights. For each one you check the weather at the departure, destination and alternate airports, pick a route, calculate the fuel including reserves, check the aircraft limits and any closed runways, then release the flight and send the paperwork to the crew. After that you watch. If a thunderstorm closes an airport or an aircraft goes technical, you replan in minutes. Shifts run 8 to 12 hours, days and nights.
