A typical shooting day

Call time 6am. Block the first scene with the actors and the camera team, then rehearse while lighting goes in. Shoot, watch playback, adjust, move on. You are asked a question roughly every ninety seconds, by wardrobe, by the script supervisor, by a producer worried about the schedule. Twelve hours later you have maybe three pages. Then dailies, then tomorrow's shot list. Prep and editing weeks are calmer and mostly meetings.
