A typical day

It depends on the season more than the clock. In spring you are in the tractor from first light until dark getting the crop in. In summer you spray, scout fields, cut hay and fix things. Harvest is 14-hour days for weeks. Livestock farms have chores twice a day, every day, including Christmas. Winter is repairs, bookkeeping, marketing grain, meetings and planning next year's inputs.
