A typical day

Six to ten patients, most referred by a general dentist for a root canal that is difficult, or one that failed before. Each takes 45 to 90 minutes under a microscope: freeze, open the tooth, clean and shape the canals, fill and seal. A couple of emergency toothaches squeezed in. Consults and X-ray reviews between cases. The patients arrive scared and in pain and leave numb and relieved. Days end around 5.
