A typical day

There is no office day. You might start with hunter checks on a forest service road, spend midday on a boat checking fishing licences and catch limits, then get a call about a bear in someone's garage. Evenings are reports and notes. In the off season it is investigations, court, community presentations and equipment maintenance. You are often alone, hours from backup, with a radio that may not reach.
