A typical day

It depends entirely on your trade and whether you are in garrison, at sea or deployed. In garrison it looks like a management job with a uniform: morning physical training, briefings, planning, paperwork, and looking after the 30 or so people you are responsible for. On exercise or deployment it is field conditions, long hours, and decisions that matter with information you wish were better.
